The secret to a good listing!

Let's MAXIMIZE your listing potential by following some simple steps... more complete and to the point = better results!

Most of the time visitors come to your web listing more than through your front door or even your own website (your listing will also appear on Mobile!). So take a few minutes to build your listing as accurate as possible and make sure you can be contacted easily.

ADD HEADLINE
Tell, in ONE sentence, WHO your listing is for, and WHAT you can do for them. That means, in the first few seconds, your target visitors will have the reaction "Yes, this is for me".

ADD KEYWORDS / CLASSIFICATIONS
List your MOST important classification first. Not sure what classification to choose? Simply BROWSE to find relevant classifications or suggest your own.

ADD LISTING NAME
Try to add at least one of your keywords in the listing name to make sure you can easily be found! (even if it is not part of your registered enterprise name).

ADD FULL ADDRESS
ADD COMMUNICATION LINES
ADD LISTING TYPE
Select from ONE of the following listing types. This helps visitors to quickly identify relevance. You can also add all your Brand and Branch listings that are related to your regular business listing.

ADD BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Try to include some/all of your keywords at least one time each in your sentences.

ADD RELATED LISTINGS
Submit as many listings as you wish. Remember, you can for example add BRAND and BRANCH listings.

ADD CONTACT PERSON
Visitors are more likely to contact you if you include a public contact person and mobile phone/Email

ADD ADDITIONAL LINES
Opening hours, year established, language spoken, etc.

Once your listing is live, continue to add content to optimize your listing. Spend some time planning your content and take to heart that LESS IS MORE!...

Think about what is your 'most wanted response'. What do you want people to DO when they first visit your listing? Call to arrange a consultation? Request more information? Obtain a quote? Have this clear in your listing and then only include the content that MOVES visitors towards your 'most wanted response' and strip away anything that doesn't. Remember also to answer the phone within 3 rings and reply to email/fax within one working day.

ATTENTION! Typically listing owners are thinking "I don't know exactly what I should say to my visitor, so I'll just throw out a load of things in the hope that something grabs their attention". Unfortunately, just adding more and more options or information is simply going to confuse your visitor, and if they aren't sure what to do next, they will probably take the easiest option and click away.

THEREFORE you have to "enter the conversation that is already going on in the prospect's mind" and sometimes that means you have to start with the problems that are preoccupying them. So show people that you can both solve pressing problems as well as achieve desired end solutions.

Your listing(s) is only as good as your business, so make sure everyone in your organization is on the same page. The goal of all listing owners is to create and benefit from word-of-mouth!
